Still Life & Interiors

For a painting to draw you in it needs to have an idea, a story or some engaging element in the way it was executed. Information alone will bring appreciation to the skill. I am more interested in starting a dialog between the viewer and my painting”.

It is challenging to be a painter who does “conventional” representational scenes when art around you is evolving and growing in so many innovative, explorative directions. The advantage of becoming old(er) is: you stop feeling like you need to apologize for what you love to do.
